LPPPD is defined as Litres Per Person Per Day.

Part G of the building regulations sets out the current levels of litres per person per day of 125 or an optional level where specified by planning condition of 110 or historically 105 under London Plan, BREEAM or Code for Sustainable Homes.

Future Ready: Water Ready

The Future Homes Hub has recently released a roadmap for water efficient in new homes for considering future reductions of water use under the Building Regulations being implemented in 2025, 2030 and 2035 respectively. Recommendations for future standards for litres per person per day LPPPD are as follows:

  • 2025 – 105 LPPPD
  • 2030 – 100 LPPPD
  • 2035 – 90 LPPPD

For example this will see the flow rate of showers from 10 litres per minute (LPM) to 5 LPM – that’s half!
